Diffused frosted cover (PC / Acrylic)PC or acrylic milky cover · even, dot-free output

A milky or frosted PC / acrylic cover sits over the LEDs and scatters light internally, turning a point source into an area source — even output with no visible LED dots, but the beam is typically 100°–120°, with almost no beam control.

What the listings show

  • Judging from titles, only 2 of the 12 are driver-equipped finished fixtures (#04 at $15, MOQ 20 pcs; #05 40W at $5.80, MOQ 10 m). The other 10 are profiles, channels, diffuser covers or raw PC extrusion.
  • Per-metre pricing is the norm: #07 optical-grade milky PC tube at $0.05/m, MOQ 2,000 m; #10 at $0.59/m, MOQ 500 m; #12 at $1.26–1.30/m, MOQ 10 m. Only a few are sold per piece (#03 MOQ 100 pcs, #08 MOQ 1,000 pcs).
  • Prices span two orders of magnitude, from $0.05/m (raw material) to $15/pc (finished fixture) — confirm whether you are buying the cover, the profile, or the complete fixture before comparing quotes.
  • The barrier here is not optics but extrusion tooling and profile cross-section: #05’s 50×50mm and #06’s 53×15mm are specific sections, and the section determines whether a driver and wiring can be hidden inside.

Low-glare louver / honeycomb / micro-prism (UGR<16)Louver, honeycomb mesh or prismatic panel · glare control

Black louver blades, a honeycomb mesh or a prismatic panel sit between the LEDs and the emitting surface, physically blocking high-angle rays — the cut-off angle widens and UGR drops, at the cost of efficiency loss and higher cost.

What the listings show

  • 11 of the 12 are finished pendant / surface linear fixtures (one, #09, is priced per metre), at $7.10–69.90 with MOQ 1–50 pcs — completely different from the diffuser tier, which sells components. This tier sells complete fixtures.
  • Almost none states UGR<16: only #06 mentions UGR19 among the 12; the rest say anti-glare / honeycomb / low glare without a figure. To get UGR<16 you must request measured reports from each supplier.
  • “Honeycomb” is over-used on the platform: #01’s title says “Honeycomb Shape”, but the product is a hexagonal-shaped fixture, unrelated to honeycomb anti-glare (excluded from this comparison).
  • Micro-prism supply is thin and could not be isolated as its own group — that search entry was blocked by a slider CAPTCHA, so coverage is incomplete and no conclusion is drawn from it.

Narrow-beam lens / module arrayDiscrete lenses or modules · collimated output

Each LED gets its own lens (PMMA / PC) that squeezes the light into a 10°–30° cone — the strongest beam control available, suited to accent lighting and wall washing; the cost is that LEDs must be matched to the lens's optical parameters, and modular construction complicates heat management and mechanics.

What the listings show

  • All 12 are optical components — not one finished fixture. The suppliers are lens makers (Ilenstech, OSYS / Ousheng Tongxin, Kingbrite) selling PC / PMMA lens arrays as parts.
  • Prices and MOQ are component-level: $0.15–7, MOQ 10–1,000 pcs. #04’s six-cell 16° FWHM is just $0.15/pc at MOQ 500; #02’s 12-in-1 module is $7 at MOQ 70.
  • The angle range is complete: 10° / 15° / 16° FWHM / 24° / 30° / 40°, so you can select directly against a target beam.
  • One listing states UGR<16 on its own image (#04, “38mm 3-IN-1 Optical Module · Anti-Glare UGR<16”) — evidence that a lens plus deep shielding is a second route to UGR<16, alongside the louver route.
  • This means a lens product is not “buy a finished fixture” but “buy the lens and build the body” — a completely different supply-chain role from the first two tiers.

Scope and limits

  • Listing images show appearance and structure only. They do not replace sampling and measurement. Sample acceptance should require: an LM-79 goniophotometer / distribution report, a UGR calculation or measurement, diffuser transmittance and haze, and a measured lens angle (FWHM).
  • UGR<16 is a supplier claim. Of the 12 anti-glare listings only one (#06) states UGR19, and one lens listing (#04) shows UGR<16 on its image. No third-party report was obtained for any of them, and none may be used as an acceptance criterion.
  • Price and MOQ are search-card text. The detail-page login wall means tiered pricing and full attribute tables are missing; card prices may be starting or range prices, so confirm the tier with the supplier before benchmarking.
  • False positives removed. In the low-glare group, #01 “Honeycomb Shape” is a hexagonal-shaped fixture rather than a honeycomb louver, and #04 “120×80° Honeycomb Style” is an ultra-wide beam that does not meet the low-glare definition.
  • Not covered. The separate micro-prism search entry was blocked by a slider CAPTCHA, so that sub-category’s supply is not fully covered. No Google / SEO conclusions were drawn.
